Travis Bradford

The energy and natural resource markets expert led CarbiCrete’s Series A fundraising efforts

CarbiCrete is pleased to announce that Travis Bradford has taken on the role as its first Chief Strategy Officer.

Travis has already been involved with CarbiCrete for the last year as a strategic advisor, leading the company’s fundraising efforts, which culminated in an $18M USD Series A round. Among his responsibilities as Chief Strategy Officer will be strategic development, business planning and forecasting, business relationship structure, and carbon monetization, as well as legal aspects of commercial and IP strategy.

An expert in energy and natural resource markets, Bradford has taught energy markets and innovation over the last 15 years at Columbia, Duke, and the University of Chicago. He is the founder and president of the Prometheus Institute for Sustainable Development, which has helped to launch organizations such as Greentech Media and the Carbon War Room, among others. He has also served as board member, executive Chairman, and Strategic Advisor for dozens of public and private companies in the US, Canada, and elsewhere over the last three decades.

Bradford holds a B.A. in finance from Georgia State University, an MBA from New York University Stern School of Business, and an MPP from the Harvard Kennedy School. He is the author of Solar Revolution: The Economic Transformation of the Global Energy Industry and The Energy System: Technology, Economics, Markets, and Policy, both published by MIT Press.

“I would like to formally welcome Travis in his enhanced role,” says Chris Stern, CarbiCrete’s CEO. “He has already made a profound impact on the company in his capacity as advisor and by playing an instrumental role in our recent capital raise. He is a very strong addition to our team, and his skills as an innovation strategist will be invaluable as we scale the company to bring our carbon-negative solution to the world.”
