Why Us?
As the green building market continues to grow, concrete users are looking for reliable materials that reduce cement use. CarbiCrete helps precast concrete makers increase their sales by producing cement-free concrete in their existing facilities.
Hear What Our Customers are Saying
Philippe Girardin, Co-Owner of Patio Drummond, describes the process of integrating CarbiCrete technology to produce cement-free concrete at his plant in Drummondville, Quebec.
“The implementation was actually easier than expected. I remember, the first day of production…the blocks came out perfect.”
Equipment and Implementation
CarbiCrete technology can be implemented easily in any precast concrete plant. The mixing of steel slag with aggregate and water, and the subsequent step of block formation are done using the standard equipment already in place. CarbiCrete manages the installation and integration of the absorption chamber as well the CO2 tank that is stored onsite.
Material Inputs
CarbiCrete sources CO2 from industrial gas suppliers who collect and purify the gas from industrial emitters. CarbiCrete oversees the CO2 tank installation and its hookup to the absorption chamber. Tank maintenance and refills are handled directly by the gas supplier.
Steel slag is sourced by CarbiCrete through a global supply agreement with Harsco, the steel industry’s largest materials processor, ensuring that our customers always have access to top-quality slag in whatever quantities they require.
Products
CarbiCrete is licensing its process to companies that produce masonry: CMUs, pavers, retaining walls and other masonry products. Our R&D team is constantly working to optimize our process in order to develop additional offerings.
