CarbiCrete’s patented technology enables the production of cement-free, carbon-negative concrete using industrial by-products and captured CO2. The company offers concrete manufacturers the process, materials and support to make lower-cost, higher-quality precast concrete in a way that reduces their carbon footprint.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct product and process analyses (in coordination with R&D) and synthesize complex technical information into meaningful conclusions
- Collaborate with external laboratories to assist research and development efforts
- Conduct research and tests on new sustainable construction materials
- Conduct experiments and process collected data
- Manage R&D projects
- Prepare reports
- Design experimental and testing programs
- Prepare proposals
- Develop new products and technology
- Perform testing, analyze and interpret the results
- Review patents, reports and research papers
Requirements:
- MSc degree in structural, civil, material or chemical engineering. PhD is an asset
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in concrete-related R&D
- Experience and expertise in experimental design and analysis
- Experience with laboratory testing
- Familiarity with concrete and construction materials
- Knowledge surrounding standards/guidelines/codes for concrete
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to prioritize and ability to work both independently and a team setting, remaining responsive to both project and team needs
- Proficiency in writing and reviewing reports, as well as interpreting report results
