CarbiCrete is a Montreal-based carbon removal technology company developing innovative, low-cost building solutions that contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. CarbiCrete’s breakthrough patented technology enables the production of cement-free, carbon-negative concrete made with industrial by-products and captured carbon dioxide.  The company offers concrete manufacturers the process, materials and support to make lower-cost, higher-quality precast concrete in a way that reduces their carbon footprint. CarbiCrete is undertaking a commercialization project in Drummondville, Quebec.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the incorporation of CarbiCrete’s manufacturing process at client sites
  • Manage from design/engineering to commissioning the CO2 absorption equipment for CarbiCrete’s commercialization project in Drummondville, Quebec
  • Determine the full requirements of adaption required at customer site with main focus on equipment related to CO2 absorption
  • Identify and manage third-party companies that will design and manufacture the equipment
  • Identify and manage any gas flow modelling required to design absorption equipment
  • Responsible for managing timelines and schedules of projects
  • Collaborate with R&D team to research and development efforts into equipment design
  • Collaborate with operations team to optimize equipment performance and propose improvements

Requirements:

  • Eng in mechanical engineering with a B.Eng degree
  • 10 years or more experience as a project engineer with experience in pressurised gases
  • Fluently bilingual in French and English
  • Knowledge of project management, budget, time schedules and other methods to ensure successful project completion
  • Knowledge of the ways various systems interact and how changes in operations, the environment and other conditions will affect outcomes
  • Strong knowledge of gas handling equipment
  • Good collaboration/teamwork skills in different industrial settings
  • Experience with managing projects on industrial manufacturing sites
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize and ability to work both independently and a team setting,
  • Proficiency in report writing, reviewing, and interpretation of results
  • Strong computer proficiency
  • Ability to travel to Drummondville as needed
