CarbiCrete’s patented technology enables the production of cement-free, carbon-negative concrete using industrial by-products and captured CO2. The company offers concrete manufacturers the process, materials and support to make lower-cost, higher-quality precast concrete in a way that reduces their carbon footprint.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform lab-related activities, including testing, in accordance with standards
  • Support product development through testing
  • Operate power tools and equipment
  • Sample materials and test concrete
  • Calibrate equipment
  • Maintain laboratory and equipment in good condition
  • Prepare, complete and report on tests

Requirements:

  • Technical diploma in a field related to civil engineering (BSc in civil engineering is an asset)
  • ASP or WHMIS certification
  • More than one year’s experience in construction materials sampling, testing and inspection
  • Familiarity with concrete
  • Laboratory testing experience
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Willingness to travel when required
  • Ability to perform physical labour, including heavy lifting
  • Ability to take accurate measurements in imperial and metric units
  • Mathematical aptitude
